Unclaimed December $100,000 Powerball ticket

North Carolina's capital city has been rocked by a series of high-profile incidents, including In North Carolina, an unclaimed Powerball ticket worth $100,000 is going to expire.

The ticket for the Dec. 8 drawing expires on June 7, according to lottery authorities in North Carolina.

There's still time for the lucky winner to pick up their reward at the North Carolina Lottery offices in Raleigh by 5 p.m. On Jackson Street in Roanoke Rapids, Big Al's Mini Mart sold it.

When the $3 Power Play ticket matched all four white balls and the red Powerball, it netted a whopping $50,000.
